Taking a page from its namesake, this freestyle ale changes the rules. Dark brown color with a strong heavy head, bold sweetness of caramel and raisin, and a fantastically bitter hoppy finish.

Poured up on tap at the Brass Tap in Mesa, AZ where it exhibits clear amber body that supports a thin light tan head. The aroma offers up a blend of pine hops roasted malts and some woody sort of nuttiness with sweet smelling malts in the background. The taste delivers Arrogant Bastard Ale like notes but kind of nuttier and a bit roastier with hops that lean toward grapefruit and lime. Nice. This is bitter, roasted and lightly malty and it comes together with pleasing harmony. Solid. I’ll do more of this anytime.
