Based on one of our favorite Scotch Ale recipes, this beer is both robust and extremely smooth. With the emphasis on its maltiness, this ale has a very well rounded and full flavor which is delicately balanced by the addition of old world hops. Furthermore, at 6.5 % alc. this dark brown ale is guaranteed to keep you warm during the cold winter months!

Pours a cloudy amber red with a decent size head that slowly makes its way down. Aroma is slight spicy with hints of rotten fruit. taste is fairly heavy on the spice the more you let it soak in the tongue. Somewhat mild of a beer but it pretty good none-the-less. I like it.

A nice brew from Rush River that I picked up while in Hudson this past weekend. Pours into the glass well carbonated, light copper colour with a little bit of sediment floating around near the bottome. Aroma is pleasent. Has a tease of some spices, some cinnamon perhaps. But when it comes to the taste, its' rather mild and easily a firm session beer that i could have a handful of. decent hops, warm and well balanced.
