Tasted at the 2004 Pizza Port Strong Ale Fest. Orange gold color. Medium sized white foamy head. Aroma is sweet malt, cinnamon and other spices. A medium to full bodied spiced barley wine. Malts are fruity and sweet. Hops are slightly bitter. Spices include nutmeg, cinnamon, allspice and others. Fairly smooth tasting, nice sipping barleywine. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly sweet.

This brew pours with a clear red body topped by a medium thick head with tons of lacing. It’s sweet and fruity (pears) with slight alcohol notes and an underlying bitterness, as well as, some spicy notes. Full bodied and smooth.
