Available throughout North-West England and North Wales, this light coloured bitter is unexpectedly hoppy, with a strong bitter flavour and not much sweetness. For those of us who were weaned on the stuff, a pint of Robbies is the next best thing to mothers milk - light, tasty and consistent. For the best pint ever, visit Stockport (near Manchester, England), and visit the Red Bull public house, about 300 yards up the road from the brewery. It's magnificent.

Clear dark golden with a small white head. Aroma of grass and green apples. Fairly thin and grainy body with an appley and grainy flavour. Short aftertaste of grains, green apples and nuts. Quite boring.

Draught. Pale amber coloured. Flowery aroma. Lightly soapy mouthfeel. Light body, medium mouthfeel. Light bitterness. OK but not very exciting.
