The Altmonster reared it's malty head early on during this year's Blues & Brews festivities. Sweet, malty, and surprisingly clean. Layers of fruits, berries and breads provide a complex brew of nice proportions. Medium bodied and really drinkable. Hope to cross his path down the road.

Pours a cloudy dark brown with no head. Comes in the same little snifter that the Imperial Stout did. Low carbonation. There’s a big buttery, oakiness in this that’s quite nice with the creamy caramel malt. This is a great barleywine. I didn’t realize it had been aged so long, but they pulled it out at the right time. This is excellent.
