Sunday Morning, American Strong Ale infused with Coffee This beer has been a taproom favorite since Renegade opened in 2011. Sunday Morning started off as an experiment after brewing a barley wine. The mash in a barley wine contains so much sugar, it can be extracted a second time for a lower alcohol brew. The second runnings of this experiment was red and light bodied. Brian decided to give it some flare and added freshly brewed Novo Coffee after fermentation. Renegade’s been brewing this beer seasonally (though no longer a second running) since. Renegade’s collaboration with Novo Coffee features their Ulos Batak bean from Sumatra. ABV: 7% AVAILABLE: Spring Bomber SIZES: 22 ounce bomber

    Aroma: 7 | Appearance: 7 | Mouthfeel: 5 | Flavor: 7 | Overall: 7

22 oz bottle. Pours light amber with a medium frothy white head that retains and laces the glass.

The aroma is sweet roast coffee.

The flavor is sweet caramel malts with a lot of roast coffee and some bitterness in the finish. The mouthfeel is medium bodied with low carbonation.

Overall, it's interesting - lots of roast coffee on a sweet caramel amber body.
