This year’s Anniversary Ale truly defies categorization. Starting with our premium two row malt as a foundation, this ale has been carefully engineered to support a prodigious load of American hops. With almost 2 lbs of hops per barrel added to the kettle during the brew, this strong blonde ale is bursting with fruity citrus character. Additional Simcoe hops are added to the tank via dry-hopping, showcasing their unique pineapple essence. You’ll find our 14th Anniversary Ale remarkably quaffable, but at 8.5% ABV, we suggest a moderate approach to this celebratory brew.

Sampled at GABF on 9/18/2010.This American Strong/Belgian Strong pours a light gold color from the tap. Small to medium sized white foamy head. The aroma is fruity and sweet with some citrusy hops. A medium bodied Ale. The malts are fruity and sweet. The hops are citrusy and grapefruity. A nice hoppy Belgian style American Strong Ale. Nice carbonation. Crisp and clean with a slight residual sweetness. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly bitter.
