Sampled on tap at the Pyramid Ale House Sacramento on 4/12/2012. This American Strong Ale pours a medium copper color from the tap. Small to medium sized white foamy head. The aroma is fruity, caramel, bready, hoppy and sweet. A medium bodied Imperial Red/American Strong Ale. The malts are fruity, caramel and sweet. The hops are grapefruity and citrusy. Decent carbonation. Nice balance, a good malt backbone that is balanced with a nice hop bite. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly bitter.
