A very complex saison with a balance of sweet and sour notes- carmel, apple, cherry, fruit, earth, funk, spice, and bitterness from hops. Typically “Sours” are aged for years in barrels, but we found that when 1st Base Saison was done fermenting it was ready to serve as is; however, we are aging some in barrels for a few years down the road. ABV – 6%, SRM – 11, IBU’s – 25 Serve with the complexity of this beer it is hard to find something that the beer will not pair with. Sausage is our favorite! The only thing that it might be tricky to pair with is light foods, as the beer might over power Serve in – Tulip or Snifter Glass (13 oz) Serve at – 7 C Ingredients – water, malted barley, orange peel, spices, hops, yeast
