Ruddy brown and served without a head. The aroma was surprisingly grassy and wheaty, just a little sweet. The flavor had a muscadine grapeyness at the beginning, but as time passed it seemed drier than I expected. Too much hops and/or bread yeastiness for me to guess this was a Scot, honestly. Granted, it was served too cold. Not very sticky or heavy. I think I'll have to try this again at the right temperature.

I love Scottish Ales and this one was a nice surprise. I thought it tasted a lot heavier than some of the Scottish Ales I am used to. The dark toasty copper color made a great first impression and then the deeper nutty taste was a nice surprise! Let's not forget the incredible aroma was full of sweet toffee and caramel! I would definitely order this beer again!

Trade from Thomassova. A nice lighter Scottish ale, though it has plenty of flavor and a nice smooth body. My last few newbies are all nice, but short of epic, this included. Nice light plum, earthy hops, sweet and smokey malt.
