A decent beer, but not in the same league as the ale. Good hoppiness and maltiness. Decent head and lacing. A pretty good thirst quencher. Weak aroma was the shortcoming.

Medium gold color, medium head. Lighter tasting lager, mild and smooth. Medium bodied. Good malt/hop balance. Mouthfeel is round. Finish is clean. Aftertaste is slightly malty.

Sampled Summer 2001: I like most of Pete's beers, yes they are average, to some what below average as beers go, but drinkable and fairly priced. Clean, crisp, refreshing as a lager should be. I think a well balanced beer, nice hop and malt flavor that is not over powering. A good beer for these hot Arizona Summers.
