The Grandpappy of beer, barleywine is an English-style ale characterized by a high original gravity, resulting in a high alcohol content often more typical of a wine than of a beer. Old Skeezer is aged in our lagering cellar for over a year to soften the full-body and is highly hopped, balancing the residual malty sweet character. Old Skeezer Barleywine won: Gold Medal, World Beer Championships, 2003.
