My last weekend in Madison, Pearl Street was having a party at the Old Fashioned. I stopped in to see my friends band play and lo and behold, they had a crapload of Pearl Street brews on tap. One of them being the Barleywine. $3 16 oz. Barleywines on tap. Very dangerous. I had two and was pretty buzzed. Great brew all around, yet if nobody told me it was barleywine, I never would have guessed. Very malty, little hops and little floral character to make me think it was a barleywine. IT really didn't taste like a b-wine, but it sure did pack a hell of a punch.
