*** I bought this as a part of a discounted 5-pack. After reviewing the third beer, I'm seeing a trend that surely indicates these beers must be past their use-by date.... hence the discount *** Dark garnet-reddish brown, beige head that fizzes away.... I don't think there will be much left in a minute.... Reminds me a lot of Tooheys Old ... caramel/cola sort of aroma. Flavour similar, although a more creamy mouthfeel....like a coffee/cola ice cream soda. No hop flavour evident. There's a soda tang; no bitterness. I really hope for this brewery's sake that I'm right about these beers being past their ideal.... coz every one so far has been very, very ordinary. I'm not looking forward to the 5th in the pack....the chilli beer.
