Beer 11 of my 12 Beers of Christmas; Bottled in 2007; been sitting on this one since an Oct. 17, 2009 (birthday) trip to Asheville, NC for a special occasion. Almost clear amber color - almost a light "Bourbon" color - with little head not lacing. HUGE Bourbon vanilla aroma, oak, sourmash, a bit of sweet malts, but mostly Bourbon. Flavor is also Bourbon and vanilla forward: oaken goodness, malty, a touch of sourness like Jack Daniels would leave, booze. Big, beautiful, tasty Barleywine that was paired with our Christmas dinner; a real sipper. Merry Christmas to all and to all a good night!

A copper color with a white head. The aroma is oak, whiskey, cherries, and alcohol. The flavor contains some vanilla, whiskey, dark fruit, caramel, and a some citrus as well. Overall a nice and complex barleywine. Long name too!!
