    Aroma: 8 | Appearance: 8 | Mouthfeel: 9 | Flavor: 8 | Overall: 9

Pint can pours with a slightly murky mahogany colored body that supports basically just a ring tiny tan bubbles. The aroma offers up a bourbon infused maple syrup drenched pancake sort of thing leading into a thin layer of vanilla bean before it gets a bit boozy and molasses at the end of the draw. It doesn't smell terribly Wee Heavy like but that's ok. The taste delivers a blend of tangy spicy maple up against smooth sweet malts, molasses and vanilla. To midway the smooth sweet supple bourbon note starts to creep into the experience leading slowing into an upwelling of restrained boozy heat. Like the nose I struggle to detect Wee Heavy notes but they do seem to be there well under the barrel and adjunct treatment with faint notes of sweet dark fruity esters. I wish this was a little better balanced so the base beer had a better flavor and aroma footing. Still, this is a solid smooth integrated and enjoyable sipper.
