Deep ruby caramel pour. Speaking of caramel, it dominates, along with a very pleasing fruitiness, and vanilla and oak from the obvious but not too much barreling. This is a heavy, thick beer, but is very smooth at 10% and well received all around. Definitely enough to want to try more from Eugene!
