While the history of the Irish Red Ale may be a little foggy of it’s exact origins, it stemmed from English ales into the Irish brewing tradition with took on a style of it’s own. The bitterness is lowered and almost tea like, with a lovely sweet body and the addition of roasted barley to give the beer it’s reddish colour and a dry finish A beautiful deep copper with rich red hues and aromas of sweet caramel malts, a slight earthy hop note, and very low esters. The flavour has a wonderful malty sweetness with a herbal hop balanced and a nice drying finish due to the roasted barley. A lovely approachable beer with a lot of character. Malt: Pale, Carabohemian, Carared, Roasted Barley Hops: Millennium, Northern Brewer Yeast: Ale
