A few times a year, we will cut Dan loose to brew whatever he chooses, uncensored, uncut, unplugged. Always handcrafted, this beer is brewed for the adventurous soul. This is a very limited edition and we make no promises to ever brew this style again. A complex and intriguing original. The mystery began with wild yeast spontaneously fermenting a rich treasure of malted barley and cherries. Unlined Oak casks breathe deep vanilla hues and chords of smoke into this sour brown ale. Our Master Brewer has forged a smooth garnet tapestry that defies description. Wander off the beaten path.

12oz bottle pours with a murky amber body that supports a thin tan head. The aroma offers up sourness, a nice spicy malt sweetened woodiness, some cherry juice and a tad earthy agedness. The taste has mild puckering notes, a bit of sour cherry and then modestly sweet cherry juice. To midway a woody sort of spicy wood note just peaks up over the other flavors. Into the finish it tries to have a moderate sour yet sweetened vinegar sensation but instead it just lightly murmurs away off in the background.

Small offwhite head, fair retention and minimal lacing. Hazy amber orange colored brew. Juicey, funky nose, tart pungent with notes of wood and fruit, cherries and spices. Body is med/light, soft carbonation ,lightly oily, nicely acidic, tangy slightly. Good flavors of cherry and lumber, faint resinous notes, nice tang, wood, faint vanilla, caramel is tastey and lightly sweet. Lasting spicey finish, juicey nice. Props to motortoddhead for the bottle! Thanks bro!

12oz bottle
Appearance: Pours clear copper/brown with a reddish/white head that dissipates in a few minutes. Good carbonation, the bubbles are flowing nicely from the bottom of the glass
Aroma: Tart cherries and oak
Taste: Tart fruits, sour malts, smooth vanilla flavors with some bitterness in the finish
Nice sour ale, not over the top sour. Easy drinkability. -

Pours slightly hazy mahogany with a fairly thick light tan head. Malty aroma has a cedar overtone. FlVor is mainly sour cherries but not make-your-face-do-calisthenics sour; a bit of fruity sweetness peeps through, as well as woody and malty tones. Fairly fizzy texture is somewhat firm. No enigma here - bottoms up!
