For our new Fat Tire & Friends CollaBEERation Pack, we teamed up with Avery Brewing from Boulder, Colo. Go wild for Fat. Thanks to Boulder’s finest for this unabashedly tropic take on Fat Tire. Avery took a healthy dose of Brettanomyces Bruxellensis Drie to create a Fat Tire spin with a sturdy malt backbone, fruity hop aroma and a tropical pineapple layer. Heed the call of the wild Fat Tire.

    Aroma: 7 | Appearance: 8 | Mouthfeel: 6 | Flavor: 8 | Overall: 8

Pours clear coppery brown with a thick pale buff head. Aroma features tropical fruit, fresh malt, woody hops, and a pinch of yeast. Flavor adds a little complexity to the fruit character, as in some apple, and provides an earthy underpinning, though the yeast seems to have gone AWOL. Body has decent firmness, and fizz is OK. Get fat and wild!
