This beer is a blonde ale that we’ve been aging in barrels. After an initial fermentation with Abbey yeast, we added Brettanomyces Bruxellensis and then fed that Brett Brux with cherries over the course of four months. We added another 40 lbs of tart cherries when we were kegging to create Mystery’s first neo-Kriek.

    Aroma: 7 | Appearance: 9 | Mouthfeel: 9 | Flavor: 8 | Overall: 8

This poured an orangish red color with no head. The aroma contains tons of cherries and vinegar with a hint of citrus and funk. The flavor is really sour and tart with more cherries and vinegar flavors. The aftertaste is very sour as well. Overall I really enjoyed this one.
