Sampled on 9/10/2011 at Beer Revolution. This Scotch Ale pours a medium orange gold color from the tap. Medium to small sized white foamy head. The aroma is caramel, bready, fruity and sweet, with some wood and some bourbon. A medium bodied Scotch Ale. The malts are caramel, fruity and sweet. The hops are herbal and earthy. Hints of wood and bourbon. The alcohol is somewhat evident. Very smooth. Nice balance. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly bitter.

this was the most similar to regular kilt lifter, just a touch sweeter and a touch thicker. all the attributes of the original beer are still the star of the show.
