Pours a lovely clear amber with a thick, fluffy, barely off-white head. Aroma is yeasty, dusty and fruity, not strong but still inviting. Flavor has notes of malt and fruit, mainly apple, nothing special but still OK. Firm-bodied texture has a decent amount of fizz. Fair to middin’, but still worthy of a try.

also has two listings, one under steinhaus and this under FW, both 4.4%. this is one of my least favorite styles, so beiong that this is a pretty average example of that style, it's really nothing special. on the lighter side of micro brews. refreshing cereal malts and a touch of hops, but very simple.

Sampled on 11/25/2010. This blond ale pours a medium orange gold color from a 12oz bottle. Small to medium sized white foamy head. The aroma is fruity and sweet, perhaps a touch of honey. A medium bodied blond ale. The malts are fruity and sweet, a touch bready. The hops are herbal. Decent carbonation. Seems a little sweeter than most blond ales. Very drinkable. Mouthfeel is full. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly sweet.

Surprisingly this brew pours a light blonde, with a short lived head. Was good tasting with a meal -- olive mushroom pizza -- basically light in flavor, crisp carbonation, would be a good companion or session brew. Pickup at Trader-Jo, as a chance for something different.
