Mikkeller gets a little sour. SpontanCherryFrederiksdal is an oak aged sour ale by the Danish gypsy brewery. Frederiksdal refers to the estate from which the beer gets its sour cherries.

Effin incredible brew that blows the socks off every other Spontan-beer Mikkeller makes, including thevery good kriek. Deep dark red pour, beautiful beer. Velvety soft feel. Aroma is woodsie with semi-sweet dark cherry flavor. Sour.tart aspect is well integrated and different than the others. Deeelicious. The depth of fruit here is more reminiscent of a luscious red wine than most any beer...and they make a cherry wine from the Frederiskdal Estate in Denmark. The only one I'll spend the coin to get again!
