Pours with a better than expected head, especially as this may have a little age on it. Barreling is a little too prevelant - pleasant in and of itself, but it also covers up much of the complexities of this strong, dark ale. Very little spices, lots of booze & sweetness. Good, but i prefer the unbarreled version for half the price.
