Brewed in July 2010 at Midnight Sun by City Beer Store owners Craig & Beth Wathen and our brew crew, Open Container was fermented with Wild AK yeasts then aged in Chardonnay oak barrels for several months. This very special 3-barrel batch honors eccentric West Coast brewing.

Dark orange yellow body, rather lifeless with a few spots of lacing. Fruity, funky aroma of pears oranges and a bit of lemon zest. Musty barnyard and a puckering tartness. Very thin body bordering on watery. A moderate white wine quality was pronounced throughout.

This was a treat .. . Pours out a dark hazy yellow aromat, low sturdy foam, good lacing .. . the main aroma, tasty i get is litchi fruit, and it goes amazingly with the tartness of this brew, outstanding stuff! .. . if it wasn't for the limited distribution, this would make waves!! .. . Uh, no, you got the wrong number. This is 9-1…2.
