next to Bourbon aged Olde Bluehair, there was no vanilla to speak of in this beer. not a bad beer, but it was the first letdown from previously dependable Mammoth Brewing. Aroma was a nice balance of sweet musty malts and hops, but was a little flat. Dark, almost black ruby tinged body. The flavor was ok as well...for a porter. NOT a big beer worthy of a Brewer's Reserve label. The body was the weakest link...10%? Really? Olde blue hair at 8.75 had twice the body. Mammoth's weakest offering to date. Average beer overall, subpar for the style.
