A bottom fermented lager inspired by the traditional Marzen beers of Bavaria, the characteristic flavour of Mac's Nelson Reserve comes from Motueka hops, a blend of premium malts and an extended maturation period. Born from an OktoberMac brew, Mac's Nelson Reserve offers beer experimenters a New Zealand crafted international-style premium lager alternative. A prime beer with a rich, creamy texture, strong malty flavours and a subtle underlying bitterness. Mac's Nelson Reserve was the 'Winner of Class' at the recent international Beer Awards in 2001.
