5oz sample at the brewpub. Pours a small foamy tan head but doesn't stick around very long. Has a dark amber appearance with reddish highlights. Lacing is decent. Aromas of roasted malts, subtle scotch notes, toasty malts and resin hops. Flavours are basically similar to aromas in that the malts are very dominant. Some notes of spices. Nice subtle warming sensation on the palate. Slick and oily mouthfeel. Good stuff!
