True Evel Daredevil Ale represents the bold and fearless spirit of legendary daredevil and icon, Evel Knievel. Unrelenting amounts of two-row pale malt give True Evel a body as strong and resilient as Evel himself. The intrepid red tone comes from generous amounts of roasted malts, adding a unique malty sweetness. Saaz and Mount Hood hop are added for a distinctly clean finish. The taste of True Evel embodies an Evel Knievel performance: a brief thrill becomes a memorable experience.

It pours a dark copper with inch-thick off-white head and some lacing. An aroma of caramel malts, hops, citrus, and some spiciness. The mouthfeel is smooth and rich. Flavors of caramel malts, hops, citrus, bread/yeast, bitterness, and spice. A bit ugly, but I like it!

TRied this recently on a trip to the Windy City, and with a name like Daredevil Ale, it's got to be good.......if only. A clear rust coloured beer with a thin weak head. Aroma is caramel malt, weak floral hops, and fig. The flavour is a mishmash of weak flavours, and is more acidic than good.

Hmm.. Slightly dissapointing, I must say. Pours a cloudy amber, slight orange colour, a little sediment floating about. Aroma is fruity, tropical and a little boozey. Taste is not as flavourful, a little stale. Acid, apple peals and bread.
