A strong ale that relies heavily on malt characteristics for flavor. This American Barleywine is slightly more hop forward than it’s English counterparts resulting in a strong ale with hop bitterness & mild toffee aroma and flavor. Ages well.

Pint can pours with a clear ruby red to mahogany colored body that supports a nice light tan head of foam. The aroma offers up malts, crystal malts and a touch of vague to toffee like reduced sugar. The taste delivers smooth sweet malts that are mildly sweet but produce some lightly roasted cracker to crystal maltiness. To midway there's blunted and malt nuanced pine like hoppiness create a pleasing balance to the experience. Fun session barleywine. I dig it.
