Tap, City Beer Store. Big and thick with a lot of caramel malt and plenty of hops. This beer pours a dark golden brown hue with a small off-white head. The aroma has a lot of pine and grapefruit rind hoppiness. There's clearly a lot of caramel malt in this beer. The flavor is on the sweet side but it works with the body. Feel is thick and full. This beer drinks a lot bigger than expected. It reminds me of a slightly darker malt version of the thicker, sweeter DIPAs, like Maharaja and 120 min. I believe the abv is quite a bit lower than those beers, but this is a heavy-drinking sipper regardless. Very good beer. I didn't take a copy, but the info sheet for this beer said that it was intended to be a batch of their Imperial Stout but the brewer added caramel malt instead of chocolate.
