    Aroma: 6 | Appearance: 7 | Mouthfeel: 8 | Flavor: 6 | Overall: 7

I just left Humpys in Anchorage, AK after tasting their bitter offering. I am on a mission to try all brews that are Alaskan while I'm on this trip, so the thought of trying a Alaskan brewed bitter sounded real good to my palate.

The beer was served by the waitress in a pint glass and came out a nice golden color. The head on it was just shy of a finger thick and had a nice white color to it. The aroma was nice and on the sweet floral side.

The mouthfeel was smoother and more dry than most bitter beers that I had had. There was no sharp taste on the tongue and it had a rather pleasant mouthfeel to it. Unfortunately the flavor was not as bitter as I had hoped it would be. It wasn't worse than average, I was just hoping for a nice bitter kick in the butt. The flavor had a slight floral hint to it and would serve well as a nice introduction to bitters for those who haven't had some of the hardcore ones out on the market.
