Pours hazy golden with a thin eggshell head. Sour fruit aroma tosses pear, cherry and apple notes with hoppy and malty notes. Flavor starts as sour pomme fruit and adds subtle malt, woody hops and even banana hints. Mouthfeel’s body is average, and fizz is good. Bam bam!

Held onto this for awhile - bottled 3-15-2011 and poured into a chalice. Straw yellow with a lot of carbonation, as expected. Amazing aroma - sour funkiness coupled with apples, grapes, and peaches. Highly acidic mouthfeel with loads of carbonation makes this easy drinking and very pleasant. Expected JP bretts up front, straight barnyard funk gives way to oaky sourness and a really nice pear flavor. This is a great brew.

this batch 85% bam, 15% lambic, aged in oak. Persistent funky sour aroma and flavor, mostly very good, but with a hint of baby diaper in there as well. Has the house JP brettyness, but there's more to it, which is really nice. Slightly acidic with a long dry finish.
