I have sampled all the variations of this imp stout,the regular imp stout, barrel aged, and even a farmhouse version, all were nice and the last two gave it a nice spin. The standard stout and imp stout (major) characteristics of chocolate, coffee, and roasted nuttiness were just covered up by the sourness. Sourness in no way compliments any of these forementioned flavors.

An interesting concoction .. . pours a deep black .. medium foam .. . stupid president .. . light roast notes with a blanket of tart sourness, slick stuff .. . this was enjoyable .. . . fine and dandy like sour candy..
