Deep red with a fine but thin cap that disappears into a faint ring. Sweet and floral smell, rich bread undercurrent, hint of herbs and metal. Sweet, bitter, and tart flavors vie for attention; bitterness generally prevails: it's a bit drier than I expected. Woody, too, and maybe just a trace of smoke. It is pretty rounded. I expected it to be earthier, but that took some time to come forward. Medium body with fine carbonation.

Deep amber brown color with a medium thick head and good lace. Slightly sweet hoppy aroma with a slight malt accent. Hoppy flavor with hints of nutty sweetness. Slightly dry and medium bodied.
