A strange brew to rate, all over the place .. . Pours a dirty pond brown .. . some old wood, and twisted caramel sugar with rum notes .. . good but in didn't enjoy it as much as others .. . Let's make like a tree and... branch out of here... got to retry this, and alot better than before, maybe a fresher bottle but smooth, and tasty..

Beautifully complex and tightly put together barleywine. A lot of interesting facets to be found throughout this brew. Murky, amber-brown color with a 1/4" head and good lacing. Dark fruits, grass, woody barrel and thick malt aromas. A bit of green hops are present along with a hefty earthiness. Dry and medium bodied with smooth booze quality that accentuates the feeling. Musty, wild fruits with lots of heavy, dry rye. Caramel and yeast along with some vanilla and a very faint trace of whiskey.

This barley wine pours a medium reddish amber color from a 750ml bottle. Small sized white foamy head. Aroma is malty and sweet, a touch of oxidation and earthy hops. A medium bodied Barley Wine. The malts are caramel, fruity and sweet, tastes a touch oxidized but adds to the flavor. The hops are floral and earthy. Nicely balanced. Could stand to be a little more carbonation, seems a little flat. Mouthfeel is full. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly sweet.
