NorCal tasting Feb 07 - Another barleywine in the tastings that were OK. Nothing really stands out here. An aroma of mostly sweet caramel malts, with some hints of vanilla, oak and whiskey. Appearance was a deep mahogany brown in color with an off-white head. Flavors also were mostly sweet caramel malts, some light oak and whiskey notes, vanilla and brown sugar. Above average for sure.
