Brewed in the style of American regional breweries, this rum-oaked, high alcohol, malt rich ale uses Cascade hop bittering to balance a complex dark grain bill of Brown, 40*L Crystal, Victory, Special Roast & Chocolate malts and is finished with a pound of Bravo hops per batch. Goes well with barbecue and spicy foods. Good for aging. Batch #: 11 ABV: 10.0% IBU: 75 SRM: 45

12oz bottle pours with a nearly clear mahogany colored body that supports a tan head of foam. The aroma offers up earthy malts, thin brown sugar, dates and molasses. The taste delivers smooth sweet malts, molasses and brown sugar dusted dates. To midway molasses, coffee and faint dark roasted malts weakly bubble to the surface. Fun sipper.
