Idaho Highlands Scotch Ale is our most popular beer! The flavor is rich and malty and sweet, with hints of caramel and smoke. Scotch Ales were historically known as "wee heavy" drinks, due to the warming alcohol content found in even a small serving. Brewed using Pale, Crystal and Carapils malt, it is great with desserts. A light scotch beer, not very big despite the high ABV. It seemed very low on peat, maybe a little too sweet, and just barely a scotch in my opinion. It seemed a bit watered down to me.
