Sampled on 9/25/2010. This barley wine pours a medium orange color from a 33cl bottle. Small to medium sized white foamy head with nice retention. The aroma is fruity and sweet, touch of wood and some calvados. Medium bodied Barley Wine. The malts are fruity and sweet, touch or apple and wood. The hops are herbal and earthy. Nice carbonation. Nice sipping beer. Very smooth tasting. Nice subtle wood and apple flavors. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly sweet.
