Sampled at the Bistro 7th Annual Barrel Aged Festival on 11/10/2012. Looking at other ratings I wonder if I got the wrong beer…This wild/sour ale pours a medium to dark amber color from the tap. Small to medium sized white foamy head. The aroma is fruity and sweet, with some wood and some brandy. A medium bodied wild/sour ale. The malts are fruity and sweet, with a touch of wood and brandy. The hops are herbal. Mild carbonation. Mildly spicy and slightly funky. I think some additional barrel time would help this one. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly sweet.
