Clean, darker amber colour with some golden highlights. A big frothy light-beige head, very good stay and loads of fluffy, thick lacing. Fresh apple nose over the caramel malts and toasted notes. The rye adds some nice, mild spiciness to the barley, and the apples are still freshening stuff. Good hoppiness in the finish, with some grassiness lingering and building dryness. Hints of toasted bread, and gets a tad hazy as it pours. Quite a nice, so-called "deluxe" Red Ale with apples that blend with the rest, and that rye touch.
