A traditional mild made with pale malt, mild malt and roast barley, and lightly hopped with Fuggles and Goldings,. Sales of this style of beer, once a staple of agricultural workers, has been in decline for many years prompting CAMRA to set aside May as mild month in order to promote interest in this type of beer. Dark, sweet and lightly hopped, this is the original thirst quenching ale.

From what is still a very new brewery this beer has probably been the best accepted by local drinkers. A dark ruby coloured beer which drinks very well, has bags of flavour and sufffers from none of the thin feel that many low-ish gravity beers of this style frequently fall victim to. A very good example of a classic British beer style.
