A distinctive hop aroma draws you into this amber coloured bitter. The palate has a mineral dryness which accentuates the crisp hop flavour and clean bitter finish. Styrian Goldings, often used for dry hopping, are in this case used as a late hop addition during boiling, leading to a rich floral aroma and complex, integrated hop character.

Cask at Akkurat, Hazy dark golden with a low firm white foam. Straw, mild leafy hops, immature pears and oatmeal in the aroma. Fairly light-bodied with notes of hay, sweet pears and mild lemon in the grainy flavour. light-bodied. Short but not forgettable finish of over-riped pears and hayish hops in the finish. Possesses some drink-ability and rustic charm.

Cask@The Rake, London. Hazy orange colour, not much head. Aroma is fruity hops, earth, and some grass. Flavour is the same, but still being very refreshing. Also has some wooden and nectary hints. Slight grassyness and leatheryness in the aftertaste.

Bottle conditioned. Clear copper coloured with a slim and sparse white head. Fruity and hoppy aroma with some caramel and malt. Taste has fruit, malt and hops with a light bitter finish. Medium bodied with a flat mouthfeel which spoils it somewhat.
