On the light side in color, body and abv for a barreled beer, but it works pretty well. Definitely on the fruity side, with the barreling showing well. The only knock is a very slight astringency prevelant in scotch ales ocassionally, though it does go away as it warms. Not a prefect beer, but wuite enjoyable. I'd love to try the base.
