Pours out in a clear reddish amber colour with a small bubbly white head. Dense malty sweet aroma of candied oranges, fudge, dried figs, raisins, alcohol and pepper. Full-bodied with notes of raisins, over-riped oranges, butter, pepper and alcohol. Long warming finish of candied apricots, cookies, alcohol, nuts and white pepper. Felt quite rustic and rough but still quite charming.

Amber colour, small beige head. Aroma is alcohol and a bit malty as well as flowery hoppy. Flavour is soapyish fruity hops along with spices, earthyness and some slight alcoholic notes. Not exactly what I had waited from a Barley Wine...
