Tripel's medium body and straw hue belie a beer of wondrous complexity. Fruity yeast character dominates throughout, while sweet malt and noble hops give way to a bit of warmth in the finish. Ever hugged a monk? This dangerously drinkable abbey-inspired ale just might have you chasing down the next one you see.

this was an odd duck...wasn't quite what was expected from a traditional tripel. the yeast was very restrained. pleasant and very fruity with a lingering sweetness. the hops had faded due to the age (14 mo) of the beer, but the GD signature malt profile was there...unique for this style. not a home run, but a pleasant beer.

A murky golden colored beer with a big frothy textured, white head rising above. Good Hang time settling into a very impressive soapy film on the sides of the glass and thick ringlet atop the body. Bready, fruity phenolic and yeast nose. Medium bodied, smooth and adequately, appropriately carbonated. Well blended malt, citrus bitter, orange bright and yeasty funkiness makes this another good beer from Great Divide.

One of the advantages of trips to see the Colorado Avalanche is the plethora of beers available in the Denver area. Great Divide is a great brewer and one of these years I'll finish entering my ratings. This pours a typical tripel pour, hazy golden colour with a thick white head. The aroma is grainy malt, yeast, spices, and hops. The flavour is more of the same with a touch of honey sweetness thrown in for good measure. Not as peppery as some Belgian tripels - and that's a good thing!

Bottled at Oliver Twist, Stockholm. Pours out in a clear deep golden colour with an impressive rich creamy white foam. Sweetish and rather clean aroma of almondy yeast, coriander and mandarin. Flavor wise, it’s better; yeast, nectarines, orange-peels, fresh coriander, leaves, mild white pepper. Long warming and surprisingly dryish and estery finish of coriander, nectarines, orange-peels and peppery alcohol. I didn’t knew that GD could brew decent or even good style Belgian ale after the disaster Hades (IMHO). A nice surprise!

Has a rich, wheaty, yeasty aroma that is quite strong. Appearance is a rather uninspiring clear yellow with an average and not too persistent head. Flavor, fortunately, more than makes up for the looks - it is strong, mouth-filling, yeasty, slightly fruity, slightly sweet, quite refreshing, but with a hint of hop bitterness and a nice, ragged bite. Texture is fizzy, lively and ragged, fairly dancing on the tongue and down the pipes. Good one!

Strong spicy and citrusy nose with some mellow malt and wheat. Pours Cloudy burnt yellow with some nice white head and some lacing. Outstanding medium quaffable body with spot on tripel style carbonation and fantastic crisp finish. This one of the better american tripel's I have tried. The reason is it is not a syrup sugar bomb. Very spiced and clean. Warm on the back of every swallow with a very noticeable hop presence at the finish. Mild sweetness with some clove and sugar.. I really got into this american version.. Also at 9.3% this is very very very dangerous.. the alcohol is hidden very well!!!
