A Belgian style abbey ale inspired by Trappist brewing tradition. Old Cardinal is well hopped beer with a sweet finish. We add a small amount of honey just before the boil and dry hop the final product with Hallertauer hops. Old Cardinal has quickly become one of our best selling brands at the beer store. Old Cardinal takes its name from James Cardinal McGuigan of Hunter River PEI. He was Archbishop of Toronto and a distant cousin of our brewer. Available at the Halifax location
