This silky smooth, multiple gold medal winnings, scotch ale is believed to be the strongest bottled beer made in Australia. Rich and syrupy, the nose offers notes of treacle, molasses and herb with distinctive cashew nut and toasty character.

I was recently at my favorite bottle shop when I noticed free samplings from this brewery's entire range. I noticed the absence of this brewery's strongest, most epensive beer that I had previously read about on their website, so I enquired. The gentleman searched through the depths of his esky and found only one bottle of this, the Supershine. He served me a chilled 30ml sample which didn't show much flavor but I could immediately tell that the 11% abv was well hidden. I came back a few minutes later for a second tasting, once the bottle had warmed a little. From my small sample, I could see that this is something special. Comparable to Chimay Grand reserve, just as smooth, just as flavorsome, stoutlike in appearance. Unfortunately, The bottle that he served my sample from was one of few left in Australia (therefore, probably in the world) as it takes nine months to make and sells like hotcakes to richer people than I. So I couldn't purchase any. This is the best beer I have ever tasted, if I had been able to try a proper sized serving, in order to confirm my first impressions, I may have given this beer a perfect score. If, when I get to try this beer again I will write a proper review. It costs $10 (Australian currency) for a bottle of 330ml, if you can get it.
